Bridgeport celebrated the arrival of New Orleans-based solar installer PosiGen, which targets low-to-moderate income households with an innovative solar leasing model. The purpose of this public-private partnership is to facilitate affordable energy improvement upgrades for thousands of households that previously could not afford them by saving families money on their electric bills.
I was very pleased to be able to attend the Second Chance bill signing with Governor Malloy and legislative colleagues. Now it's time to move our State of Connecticut forward and leave the archaic incarceration practices of the past in the past.
I joined with fellow legislators and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. during AKA Day at the Capitol where we discussed a variety of topics including Health, Housing, Legal and Labor issues impacting families in Connecticut. In the photo next to me is the current Chairman of the Legislative Black and Puerto Rican Caucus Representative Bruce Morris (D-Norwalk). I congratulate Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority on an excellent day of learning and networking for a better tomorrow.
I joined with colleagues at a forum on the Conflict of Interest Bill. I thank all of the residents that took the time and effort to attend the event to voice their opinions on this important legislation.
