“We chose legislators who are playing key leadership roles in policy issues that affect education for young children,” said Merrill Gay, CECA executive director, who presented the award to Currey.
“Representative Currey was instrumental and showed leadership in regards to legislation surrounding two-generational approaches to family economic success,” said Merrill Gay, Executive Director of the CT Early Childhood Alliance. “It was one of the reasons Currey was chosen for the award.”
