“We need to recognize and honor all veterans who have served us, and that’s why this memorial in South Windsor is so fitting,” Currey said. “I am very pleased that Governor Dannel Malloy has supported our effort to create a lasting memorial at Veterans Memorial Park.”
The patriotic commission is building the memorial wall in honor of all veterans who have served the country, and most of the funding for the project has come from private donations.
