Hamden’s state Rep. Michael D’Agostino, D-91, said there was no disputing the need to remove hazardous trees, but the electric company’s “one size fits all approach” wasn’t shaping up.
“The approach doesn’t take into account the aesthetics of a neighborhood and community,” D’Agostino said.
D’Agostino said legislators are advocating that for every tree removed, a new one gets planted. “We all know the costs for replanting the trees, but this is a cost worth burying,” D’Agostino said.
