State Representative Mike D’Agostino (D-Hamden) has been chosen to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Planning and Development Committee by House Speaker Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden).
The Planning and Development Committee has cognizance of all matters relating to local governments, housing, urban renewal, fire, sewer and metropolitan districts, home rule and planning and zoning; regional planning and development activities and the State Plan of Conservation and Development, and economic development programs impacting local governments.
“I am honored to have been appointed Vice Chairman of the Planning and Development Committee by House Speaker Sharkey,” Rep. D’Agostino said. “This committee has a unique oversight responsibility that affects our cities and towns and I look forward to my leadership role on the committee to develop an agenda that assists local governments to better serve the interests of our citizens.”

Rep. D’Agostino will also serve on the Education and Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committees.
