REP. D'AGOSTINO EARNS PERFECT ENVIRONMENTAL SCORE

Representative Michael D’Agostino (D-Hamden) has been recognized by the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) for his 100% support of environmental legislation during the 2015 legislative session.

Environmental issues this year included banning microbeads, encouraging residential solar, reducing pesticide use on municipal playgrounds, preserving the fiscal sustainability of state parks, open space and various clean water projects including the Long Island Sound Blue Plan.

“I want to thank the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters for this recognition and for their work spotlighting environmental issues,” Rep. D’Agostino said. “Whether it’s providing for clean water, dealing with the over use of pesticides, or preserving open spaces, protecting our environment must continue to be a legislative priority.”

“To enact good environmental laws, we need good people at the state legislature to fight for us,” Lori Brown, CTLVC Executive Director, said.

The annual environmental scorecard grades state lawmakers based on how they vote on significant environmental legislation. This year the scorecard grades legislators' votes on sixteen bills that came up during the 2015 legislative session.
