REP. DILLON TO BE NAMED "FAMILY LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR"

Representative Patricia Dillon (D-New Haven) will receive the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies (CCFSA) "Family Legislator of the Year" award Thursday in a ceremony at the State Capitol. The award is presented annually to an individual whose work has benefited Connecticut’s families.

In announcing the award, CCFSA President Peter DeBiasi said, "We applaud Pat’s efforts and unwavering commitment to strengthen Connecticut’s children, adults and families."

The award will be presented during a reception on Thursday, April 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Old Judiciary Room of the State Capitol.

Rep. Dillon said, "This award is a great honor. Too often, the ‘issue of the day’ overshadows the needs of Connecticut’s families. It is a constant battle to make sure our voices are heard. We are making progress and I will continue to fight for families."

Representative Dillon was first elected to the General Assembly in 1984. She is an Assistant Majority Leader and serves on the Appropriations and Judiciary Committees. Rep. Dillon chairs the Health and Hospitals Subcommittee on Appropriations.
