REP. DILLON HONORED FOR DEDICATION TO SAFE HAVEN

Representative Patricia Dillon (D-New Haven) has been recognized by Liberty Community Services for her work to secure funding for Liberty’s Safe Haven, a home for homeless individuals struggling with chronic mental illness, drug addiction and/or HIV.

Earlier this year, Rep. Dillon was able to secure almost $3-million in state bonding funds for Safe Haven. Liberty Community Services’ "Exemplary Dedication Award" was presented during a ceremony Monday in New Haven.

"I am very pleased to be recognized by Liberty Community Services," Rep. Dillon said. "Safe Haven is a very important safety net for the New Haven area."

Representative Dillon was first elected to the General Assembly in 1984. She is Deputy Majority Whip and serves on the Public Health, Appropriations and Judiciary Committees. Rep. Dillon chairs the Health and Hospitals Subcommittee on Appropriations.
