REP. DILLON ANNOUNCES $182 MILLION IN FUNDING FOR GATEWAY

State Representative Patricia Dillon (D-New Haven) announced the State Bond Commission is expected to approve funding for Gateway Community College. The $182,730,057 grant will fund the construction of a state-of-the-art campus on Church Street in New Haven.

Rep. I am excited the Bond Commission appears ready to act on this funding later this week."

The grants will fund the construction of the consolidated Gateway Community College, located at 2 and 20 Church Street, New Haven. The project includes the construction of a 360,000 square foot campus, consisting of a new learning resource center, general purpose classrooms, computer classrooms, biomedical labs, nursing classrooms and early childhood education space. A new 600 car parking garage is also part of the project.

The State Bond Commission meets Friday (October 30th) at 10:30 a.m. in room 1-E of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
