The state Senate has passed HB 5072: An Act Concerning Automotive Glass Work. I want to thank Sen. Martin Looney and Rep. Bob Megna for all their work on the legislation.
This is the bill I wrote to protects anyone from being steered to an insurance company’s pet auto glass repair shop.
We have seen New Haven’s small glass repair shops – mom and pops – close their doors as their business was steered to insurance companies’ preferred shops.
The bill highlights your right to choose where to have auto glass repair work.
The bill now heads to the governor.
