New Haven's sinking homes, and more importantly their owners, received good news from state Rep. Pat Dillon and state Sen. Toni Harp.

'SINKING' NEW HAVEN HOMES TO GET STATE AID

NEW HAVEN --State Rep. Pat Dillon, D-New Haven, described the scenario of sinking homes in Westville as "a science fiction movie."

Kathie Hurley, a Westville resident, described Dillon as "a pit bull" when it came to advocating for the concerned residents.

Dillon and Hurley were joined by mayoral candidate state Sen. Toni Harp, also D-New Haven, and several others on Beverly Road Monday to announce $1.5 million in state bonding to save the sinking homes.
