REP. DILLON EARNS PERFECT SCORE ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) has given State Representative Pat Dillon a 100% score for her record of support on environmental issues in 2014.

Breaking issues on the environment that Rep. Dillon cosponsored in 2014 included a moratorium on fracking waste and protocol for tree trimming by utilities and a state water plan. She supported bonding for farmland and open space, protection of Long Island Sound and creation of the “Blue Plan” for future use of shoreline lands, and protection of state conservation lands. Dillon also co-sponsored legislation restricting children's exposure to pesticides, which was unsuccessful but a priority next year.

Rep. Dillon voted 'no' on a measure, opposed by CTCLV and other environmental groups, that would have permitted harvesting of glass eels. That measure passed but was vetoed by the governor.

“We owe it to future generations to ensure they have clean air, clean water, and access to open space,” said Rep. Dillon “I was proud to support the legislative initiatives promoting sustainability and environmental protection that passed through the General Assembly this year.”

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters is CT's leading environmental watchdog organization, and works to pass pro-environment laws, elect pro-environment candidates, and hold all elected officials accountable.
