The Connecticut Farm Bureau acknowledged Representative Gentile’s work on the animal care bill in her role as Chair of the Environment Committee. Representative Gentile attended a news conference with a broad coalition of students and advocacy groups in support HB 6915, An Act Concerning A Student Loan Bill of Rights. If passed, Connecticut would be the first state in the country to adopt such a measure, establishing a student loan ombudsman to regulate student loan servicers and assist student borrowers and parents. REP. GENTILE WELCOMES NEW PRE-K SLOTS FOR ANSONIA
Ansonia will be able to offer pre-K to a class of 15 students thanks to Smart Start, a ten-year initiative Focusing on Pre-Kindergarten learning availability. Smart Start is intended to expand pre-K in public school settings and is funded through a combination of state bonding for capital improvements and funds from the Tobacco Settlement Fund for operations.
