REP. GONZALEZ ANNOUNCES FUNDING
FOR HARTFORD SCHOOLS AND HOUSING

State Representative Minnie Gonzalez (D-Hartford), Vice Chair of Housing, announced today that $20 million in state funding was recently approved to assist with a housing redevelopment project comprised of 19 abandoned or partially occupied properties in Hartford Park Terrace area; and $2.2 million in state funding was recently approved to assist in alterations, repairs and improvements to school grounds.

"It is my hope and desire that the state maintains a commitment to Hartford in making the city brighter," said Gonzalez. "I am grateful that the Bond Commission approved the much-needed funding for the Greater Hartford area."

Rep. Gonzalez has throughout her career sought to maintain a relationship between the state of Connecticut and the nation’s capital.
