REP. GONZALEZ ACQUIRES STATE FUNDING FOR SANCHEZ SCHOOL
State Representative Minnie Gonzalez (D-Hartford) acquired $100,000 in state funding for Maria Sanchez Elementary School in Hartford. These funds are requested to provide a grant-in-aid to the City of Hartford to assist in the purchase and installation of a playscape to be located at Sanchez School. Rep. Gonzalez was instrumental in securing the original $150,000 in state funding for this project. Unfortunately, the children attending Sanchez School at the onset of the project have already moved on to another school.
"I am pleased that this funding was approved," said Rep. Gonzalez. "The children deserve a place to play and it is important that the environment is safe."
Rep. Gonzalez is serving her third term in the Connecticut General Assembly. She is Vice-Chair of the Housing, and a member of the Appropriations and Public Safety
