REP. SUSAN JOHNSON PROMOTED TO SERVE AS VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE LEGISLATURE’S INSURANCE COMMITTEE

State Representative Susan Johnson, elected in November to a second term in the General Assembly, was appointed Vice-Chairman of the legislature’s Insurance & Real Estate Committee by Speaker of the House Christopher G. Donovan (D-Meriden).

The legislature’s Insurance Committee has oversight over all matters relating to insurance and real estate law in Connecticut.

“I am honored that Speaker Donovan appointed me to serve in this important position,” Rep. Johnson said. “At a time when too many Connecticut families and small businesses are facing skyrocketing health insurance premiums the work of this committee has never been more important.”

Johnson added that she was particularly honored to have been chosen for a committee leadership position in only her second term.

Rep. Johnson will also serve on Education, Energy and Technology, and Finance Revenue and Bonding Committees.
