FREE HOMEOWNERS MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE
Event July 10 at UConn-Storrs

State Representative Susan Johnson, announced that a free, mortgage-assistance event for homeowners who need information or help with loan modifications, foreclosure prevention, state and federal assistance programs and other lending-related issues will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the University of Connecticut, Student Union, 2110 Hillside Road, Storrs, Connecticut. Free parking will be available in the South Parking Garage.

“Too many area families have been impacted by the mortgage crisis. This free, state-sponsored event is a great way for folks to meet with lenders and learn what options are available to them,” said Rep. Johnson.

Representatives from various mortgage lenders and loan servicing companies will be in attendance including: Bank of America; Citibank; First Niagara Bank; GMAC Mortgage; HSBC National Bank USA; JPMorgan Chase & Co.; McCue Mortgage; People's United Bank; Webster Bank and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. HUD-approved housing counseling agencies, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Judicial Branch Mediation and other state and non-profit agencies will provide additional assistance to homeowners.
