Located adjacent to Windham Hospital, the new 30,000 square-foot facility set on 2.5 acres, houses primary care physicians, oncologists, a cancer infusion center, orthopedic surgeons, general surgeons, the Windham Hospital Rehabilitation Network and Clinical Lab Partners lab services.

“Sen. Williams and I worked for a long time to make this state of the art facility a Sen. “Senator Williams and I have worked for a long time to make this state of the art facility a reality,” said state Representative Susan Johnson (D-Willimantic). “The design of the building follows the model set forth by the Affordable Care Act and will provide a medical community offering a comprehensive range of medical services.”

“The high quality of care provided by Windham Hospital makes it a valuable resource for the people of eastern Connecticut,” said Senator Williams, who represents eight towns in northeastern Connecticut. “The new Family Health Center is an investment that ensures that families have access to state of the art facilities and treatment. I want to thank Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman for their support of this vital community asset.”

The $10.3 million facility, funded in large part by $8.3 million in state bond funds, will provide a strong anchor for ambulatory care in eastern Connecticut and will help improve the coordination of care with primary and specialty care located on the Windham Hospital campus.

Construction of the project, which created more than 100 construction jobs, began in October 2011 with the first tenants moving in in late spring 2013.

“This wonderful new facility not only strengthens Windham Hospital’s great legacy of providing quality medical care, but is a critical improvement to the fabric of the entire area,” Lt. Governor Wyman said. “I am confident that this is an investment that will bring great benefits to the community for generations to come.”
