Newsroom 2009

As a member of the legislature's Finance Revenue & Bonding Committee, I wanted to share with you some details about Connecticut's current bond rating. The state's bond rating from all the three major bond rating groups, Stand & Poors, Moody's and Fitch, is currently an AA (High Investment Grade). Since 1981, our state's rating has fluctuated between an AA+ (Better Investment Grade) and an AA- (High Medium Investment), so our current rating reflects a stable and solid investment.

Please read State Treasurer Denise Nappier's most recent statement about our state's bond rating to learn more.
