The Regional Entities Sub-Committee has been formed to bring together multiple stakeholders to work together to identify ways to better utilize their regional entities and work in a more cohesive manner with their neighboring communities. The sub-committee will put an emphasis on cost efficiency through regional collaboration that leads to taxpayer savings.  One major accomplishment of this group was the work they did to connect every municipality in the state to Connecticut's already existing Nutmeg Network, a statewide, fiber-optic infrastructure that improves upon and expands the availability of high-speed networking.  This is one example of how they are modernizing and making our town halls to more efficient and save more taxpayer dollars. This group will form a list of new recommendations that will be utilized in a 2016 legislative package.
