REP. ROJAS ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR GLASTONBURY

State Rep. Jason Rojas today praised the approval of a $200,000 state grant for the design and construction of Phase II of Riverfront Park development in Glastonbury. The grant is part of the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP).

“This funding will allow the town to move forward with the strategic investments it has already made in its riverfront and will complement what has already been done” Rojas said. “When this project is completed there will be greater activity and access to a wonderful natural resource – the Connecticut River.”

STEAP is a state-funded program that was created by the General Assembly in 2001 to encourage economic growth and community conservation within the overall character of a town.

Rojas said the STEAP grant is part of a $20 million pool approved recently by the State Bond Commission.
