David Downes, vice president of the association, presented Rep. Rojas with a plaque in honor of his dedication and service in the legislature during a ceremony Wednesday at the State Capitol. Rep. Catherine Abercrombie (D-Meriden) also was honored for her advocacy.

“Adult education providers are playing a critical role in helping to address the remedial needs of the students who are trying to access higher education at our community colleges,” Rojas said. “I am proud to have worked on legislation that resulted in a pilot program with Manchester Community College and Manchester Adult Education working together to provide critical remedial services in a cost effective manner.”

“I want to thank CAACE for the recognition and look forward to continuing to work with them on enhancing the services they provide,” Rojas said.
