Rep. Jason Rojas on Wednesday announced his appointment of East Hartford Assistant Corporation Counsel Richard Gentile to a task force on addressing municipal blight.
In his new, additional capacity, Gentile will serve as Rep. Rojas’ official designee to the Task Force To Examine Procedural Problems In Addressing Blight At The Municipal Level. The appointment is effective immediately and ends when the task force submits its report, which is due Feb. 5, 2014.
“I thank Richard for taking on this new challenge of serving the people of Connecticut on this important board,” said Rep. Rojas, House chairman of the legislature’s Planning and Development Committee.
“I was honored to be asked by Rep. Rojas and Mayor Marcia Leclerc to serve as a representative on this important committee,” Gentile said.
Rojas serves the 9th Assembly District, which consists of portions of East Hartford and Manchester.
