The Connecticut Community Development Association has given its 2015 CCDA Legislator of the Year award to state Rep. Jason Rojas (D-East Hartford, Manchester) for his support and advocacy of community development programs and funding.
Much of the CCDA’s efforts focus on affordable housing development, promotion of public services, such as health and human service issues, and advocating for investment in municipal infrastructure that benefits residents.
“As part of CCDA’s efforts, we recognize individuals and organizations that reflect our mission, and it is my great pleasure to announce that Rep. Rojas has been chosen as the 2015 CCDA Legislator of the Year,” said Gary A. Evans, president of CCDA.
“I am deeply honored to receive this award from CCDA and to have my work in the legislature recognized by such an important organization,” Rojas said. “We need to continue to do everything we can to promote community development.”
