REP. RYAN WELCOMES SMALL TOWN FUNDING FOR BOZRAH AND FRANKLIN
State Representative Kevin Ryan is pleased the State Bond Commission has approved funding that will benefit the towns of Bozrah and Franklin.
The funding is made available through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program which was established to provide bond funds for Connecticut’s small towns.
Under the grant program approved by the state Bond Commission Friday the town grants are as follows:
Bozrah, $175,000 to purchase land to develop elderly house.
Bozrah, $250,000 to extend electrical utilities to an industrial park.
Franklin, $500,000 for the Ashbell Woodward House preservation.
"I am pleased these towns will benefit from the small town grant program," Rep. Ryan said, "Small towns can be overlooked when it comes to state bonding and this program seeks to make up for any inequities. Small towns add to Connecticut’s quality of life and they cannot be left out of the mix when we distribute local state aid."
