REPS. ORANGE, RYAN AND REYNOLDS ANNOUNCE
SIGNIFICANT STATE FUNDS FOR STATE POLICE

Representative Linda Orange (D-Colchester), Representative Kevin Ryan and Representative Tom Reynolds (D-Ledyard) today announced the State Bond Commission’s approval of funding for improvements to State Police facilities in Eastern Connecticut. The $420,000 in grants will finance various capital improvements to Troop E and Troop K and fund the renovations and relocation of the Eastern District Headquarters.

Rep. Orange said, “Many of our communities in Eastern Connecticut depend on the State Police for local law enforcement and public safety. It is important that troopers have the facilities and tools they need to protect the public. Every dollar we commit to public safety is a dollar well spent.”

Rep. Ryan said, “This funding is desperately needed for upgrades to Troops E and K. Consider it an investment in law enforcement.”

“It is important that we support the State Police precincts throughout Connecticut. Their services to our communities keep our streets safe and our residents secure. This funding will help Montville's Troop E maintain the equipment it uses to do this important work,” Rep. Reynolds said.
