MONTVILLE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IMMERSED IN STATE GOVERNMENT

Montville business and consumer law high school students gained an appreciation and better understanding for the role of the state Supreme Court and the Legislative process during a visit to the State Capitol.

Montville High School students in Christopher Zyrlis' Business and Consumer Law class visited with State Rep. Kevin Ryan during their tour of the Legislative Office Building in March. The purpose of the trip was the immerse the students in government and get a sense of what it takes to create and pass a bill through the legislature. The Juniors and Seniors gained an appreciation of the history of Connecticut laws, as well as learned about the role and importance of the Connecticut Supreme Court.
