| Changes to the
AHCT Application
| |

|
As
a way to continue to ensure that you serve your
consumers effectively, please find important
updates in the HIX system:
RENEWAL/CHANGE
DECISION:
1.
For 2017 renewals and/or reporting changes to
existing 2016 coverage, please select OPTION 1 in
all circumstances. See
screen shot below.
Why? If
you pick options 2 or 3, the member cannot renew
and will not be able to shop for a QHP during OE
or report changes to their current
enrollment. If you need to make a change to
a 2016 enrollment only, you will still have to
fill in income for 2017. In that case, and only in
that scenario, you may enter the income listed for
2016 in the income field for 2017. However,
if the member later decides to enroll for 2017,
the member should be asked then to update their
income for 2017. Always confirm income with the
consumer when they are applying for coverage or
are reporting changes.
Only
use the same income (numeric amount) for 2016 as
for 2017 if the consumer needs to make a change to
or enroll in 2016 coverage ONLY and does not want
to renew coverage. The system will ask for
2017 income when you choose option
one.
ELIGIBILITY
DETERMINATION:
There is a
check box on the eligibility results page, that
reads “I do not wish to enroll in a Qualified
Health Plan for 2016”—this box should
never be selected if there is
an existing 2016 enrollment in HIX.
You would complete the 2016 enrollment by making
the appropriate eligibility selection and choosing
the appropriate Husky program or QHP selection for
2016.
