Waterbury legislators announced funds approved by the State Bond Commission for various items that bring in over $6.9 million over the next two years.
"I am pleased to see that Waterbury was well represented in this round of funding and thank Governor Malloy for keeping the city on the radar," Rep. Victor Cuevas said. "StayWell Health Center provides indispensable health services in the community and I will continue to support anything we can do keep the programs going."
"As federal funds continue to dwindle, I'm pleased the state has stepped up to support the great work being accomplished by StayWell," said Rep. Larry B. Butler. "They support many of my constituents with critically needed services."
"This is the continuation of four years of effort and a project total of $6.8 million for both the football and main grandstand baseball and little league field for municipal stadium so the spectators, players and coaches will have a premium facility for sports events and other activities," Rep. Berger said. "The Waterbury Development Corporation and the Department of Economic and Community Development in cooperation with the City of Waterbury have been major players in the goal to renovate the stadium and I applaud their efforts."

ITEM 39 - Municipal Stadium renovation Phase 4 includes construction of an outbuilding for lockers and storage and restrooms, sidewalks, fencing and south parking lot - $966,330
