CANDELARIA NAMED BLACK AND PUERTO RICAN CAUCUS VICE PRESIDENT
State Representative Juan Candelaria (D-New Haven) was named Vice President of the General Assembly’s Black and Puerto Rican Caucus Tuesday. The New Haven native is a first year legislator and says he is honored the caucus chose him for such a distinguished position so early in the game.
"This is a great honor. I am proud to be in the company of such dedicated and committed lawmakers as those that make up the caucus. While Vice President I will do my best to ensure that the rights of our constituents are up held and fought for," Rep. Candelaria said.
Representative Candelaria is also a member of the Appropriations Committee, Judiciary Committee and Commerce Committee.
