Rep. Pat Dillon’s bill to provide adequate drainage under Forest Road in Westville was the subject of a recent public hearing by the General Assembly’s Transportation Committee.
Forest Road was a 19th century horse path that became a state road without proper planning or infrastructure. The drainage system can't handle water from even moderate rainstorms.

Rep. Dillon’s legislation would dedicate $2.5 million in state bond funds to improve drainage and safety along the stretch of Forest Road from Chapel Street to Edgewood Avenue.
Westville residents Susan Papa and David Schatz have spent thousands of dollars of their own money to protect their property and home from rainwater coming from the street.
