FUNDING FOR NEW HAVEN APPROVED

Representative Pat Dillon hailed the state Bond Commission's approval of funding for a number of New Haven projects.

Among the projects approved by the Bond Commission on Friday was $125,000 for High School in the Community.

In addition, the Bond Commission approved the following:

• Columbus House: $10,223
• Crossroads: $446,570
• Superior Courthouse at 121 Elm Street in New Haven: $670,000
• Marrakech Day Services: $79,650

Marrakech operates Village Cafe on Whalley Ave.

"Village Café is a neighborhood hangout with a beneficent twist," Rep. Dillon said. "They provide culinary and food-service training to people with special needs."
