REP. DILLON UPDATES RESIDENTS ON TRAFFIC CALMING,
WEST NILE, DIRT BIKES AND WEST RIVER
Here is a snapshot of a few of the issues we are working on at the State Capitol.
- Sinking houses: The Greater NH Loan Fund made progress on their plan for using the bond dollars I got for remediation. This is new territory for all of us and they deserve credit.
- Traffic calming: Whalley Ave. project passed the Bond Commission but City Hall told me it was stuck. I followed up with state officials. Good news should be coming. (See video)
- West River: Advocates are working with the state to prevent West Nile transmission.
Also a special shout out to those involved in the Food Policy Committees!
More information is coming. But recently I had been so discouraged watching the standoff in Washington DC. So I took time today to acknowledge the good that government can do on the state and local level – especially when we listen to, and work with, the community.
