REP. HADDAD EARNS PERFECT RATING FROM ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) has recognized State Representative Gregory Haddad with a 100% rating for his support and advocacy of environmental initiatives during the 2012 legislative session.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by an organization that does so much in support of protecting our environment,” said Haddad. “We all have a stake in preserving our environment and are dependent on its resources.”

The annual environmental scorecard grades state lawmakers based on how they vote on significant environmental legislation. This year the scorecard graded legislators' votes on 15 bills that came up this year.

CTLCV specifically highlighted Haddad’s votes on open space, water conservation and coastal management among others.

Formed in 1998, the bipartisan CTLCV works on laws that affect Connecticut's air, water, wildlife, open space, transportation, energy choices, and health.

“The League continues to be a watchdog and activist leader at the Capitol advocating for Connecticut’s most important assets: the air we breathe, the water we drink and the landscapes we treasure and require,” said CTLCV Co-Chair David Bingham.

Haddad is in his first term serving the 54th Assembly District. He is Vice-Chair of the Commerce Committee and also sits on the Appropriations and Higher Education Committees.
