REP. HADDAD NAMED TO NEW ENGLAND BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION’S LEGISLATIVE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

State Representative Gregory Haddad was honored to be invited to join the New England Board of Higher Education’s (NEBHE) Legislative Advisory Committee. He was named to the committee for his legislative work dealing with higher education.

“The New England Board of Higher Education is one of the leading higher education policy makers and I am proud to be joining them in this task,” Rep. Haddad said. “As a resident of Mansfield, higher education means a lot of me and my constituents. As a member of the Legislative Advisory Committee, I will be better able to represent my district and advocate for policies that serve students, their parents and teachers.”

The ad hoc Legislative Advisory Committee is made up of distinguished legislators from the six New England states to address education and higher education issues facing the region. They provide timely research and information to participating members through presentations by leading experts in the field and exchange higher education policymaking perspectives in New England to support increased interstate collaboration among legislators.

Founded in 1955, NEBHE promotes greater educational opportunities and services for the residents of New England. The Board is actively engaged in policy analysis; compiles trends and indicators in Higher Education; coordinates Tuition Break, the New England regional student program; and other programs to meet their mission.

Representative Haddad serves Mansfield’s 54th Assembly District and Vice Chair of the legislature’s Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee.
