REP. HADDAD RECEIVES 2013 AARP LEGISLATIVE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

AARP honored Rep. Haddad for his leadership and his outstanding advocacy on behalf of utility ratepayers and for protecting residents, ages 50 and older, by preserving reliable landline services in Connecticut.

"Rep.Haddad's efforts helped secure the broad-based support needed to accomplish these objects," stated John Erlingheuser, AARP's State Advocacy Director. "Connecticut residents, especially those 50 and older, are better protected in the energy market and can choose to have the security and stability of reasonable electric rates and also be guaranteed affordable and reliable telephone service."

Rep. Haddad was presented with the award on behalf of AARP's 600,000 members in Connecticut.
