REP. HADDAD TAKES THE OATH OF OFFICE

Rep. Haddad was sworn into his third term as state representative of the 54th Assembly District and was asked by House Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz to serve as a Deputy Majority Leader this session.

“I am thrilled that Gregg has accepted his role as Deputy Majority Leader,” said House Majority Leader Joe Aresimowicz (D-Berlin/Southington). “Gregg has worked at the Capitol for many years, first as a staff member and now as a legislator. His insight and knowledge of the legislative process will be an asset to me and the entire General Assembly as we navigate this coming term.”

“This is great news for the Mansfield and Windham area. The fact that I and other local legislators have been appointed to key leadership roles means that our region will have a strong voice in the General Assembly. I would also like to thank Majority Leader Aresimowicz for entrusting me with this important position,” said Rep. Haddad. “I look forward to starting the new session and using my new role as Deputy Majority Leader to bring special attention to issues that matter to Mansfield.”

Rep. Haddad was also appointed to serve on the Appropriations, Higher Education, and Government Administration and Enforcement Committees.
