REP. MUSHINSKY ANNOUNCES BACK TO
SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY FOR FEMALES OVER 40
State Rep. Mary Mushinsky would like to inform women 40 years or older of a scholarship opportunity the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons (AARP) has announced for those who are exploring higher education options and new career opportunities.
The AARP Foundation is accepting applications for its 4th Annual Women's Scholarship Program that provides funds to women over 40 who are seeking new job skills, training and educational opportunities to support themselves and their families.
"I am pleased to share this good news with our community," Rep. Mushinsky said. "This is a very good opportunity for women who are looking for career alternatives for themselves and their families during this difficult economic time. I applaud the AARP Foundation for their diligence in reaching out to this particular segment of the population."

The application process closes on March 31, 2010 and scholarships will be awarded in early summer 2010. Scholarships range between $500-$5,000 based on need and circumstances, and may be used for any course of study at a public or private secondary school, including community colleges, technical schools, and four-year universities.
