The Wallingford Energy Conservation Commission and Rep. Mary Mushinsky will host an energy saving forum on February 28 at the Wallingford Senior Center to help residents lower heating bills and reduce energy use in their homes. The Saving Energy, Saving Money event will bring energy experts who sell each fuel, as well as the Wallingford Electric Divison which provides electricity and home energy audits. Ben Martin, chairman of the Wallingford Energy Conservation Commission, encouraged attendance at the event. “In the current economy, everyone needs to save, and in the current state of the environment, everyone needs to reduce pollution as well,” Martin said. Rep. Mushinsky, who is a member of the Energy Conservation Commission, said “These professional experts will provide alternatives for homeowners to significantly reduce their home’s energy demand and show us how to save money through efficiency, new technology, and fuel switching.” The forum will be held at Wallingford Senior Center, Thursday, February 28th, 2013 starting at 6:30 p.m. For further information, residents may contact Ben Martin, Commission chairman, at 203-215-0395 or Mary Mushinsky at 203-269-8378.
