Representatives Christopher Rosario (D-128th) and Ezequiel Santiago (D-130th) held ceremonial check presentation events in Bridgeport announcing biennium funding for local organizations.
“I was thrilled to present Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders and the McGivney Center with an appropriation to further enhance the phenomenal work they do with our kids. We will continue supporting organizations that work to get kids off the streets and into a positive environment. We are proud to represent Connecticut House Democrats in the Legislature,” said Rep. Rosario.

The Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders mission is to provide youth with diverse sports, educational and community awareness programs that foster physical, intellectual and social development, while instilling pride and helping them build character and self-esteem, so that they can reach their full potential and value their role in society. Caribe received a total of $260,000 over two years - $130,000 FY 16 $130,000 FY 17.
