REP. SANCHEZ AND SEN. GERRATANA TO HOST
SMALL BUSINESS/JOBS FORUM IN NEW BRITAIN
State Rep. Robert Sanchez (D-New Britain) and State Senator Terry Gerratana (D-New Britain) today announced an important business forum open to the public to share some details on how businesses can access services and assistance now available thanks to a comprehensive jobs bill designed to get Connecticut's economy back on track and people back to work.
The bill, passed by the state legislature in October, is designed to create a climate in Connecticut that is ripe for maintaining, attracting and creating jobs. The bipartisan effort is focused on five key areas: small business growth, easing the regulatory environment, spurring innovation, developing the workforce, and new tools for economic development.
“I supported this legislation because it gives us a good opportunity to get our workforce back to work, especially at times like this when we most need it,” Sanchez said. “I encourage small business owners in New Britain to set some time aside Wednesday to attend this meeting and to learn more about how this legislation will benefit them.”
"This jobs bill is one of the most comprehensive bills we have done for small businesses and businesses in general in Connecticut to get our economy back on track," Sen. Gerratana said. "Business owners should make time to find out all that is available to them."
