State Rep. Bobby Sanchez was honored by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance, a statewide membership and advocacy organization committed to improving developmental outcomes in the areas of learning, health, safety and economic security for children ages birth through eight.

“The legislators we chose to honor as Children’s Champions put young children front and center as they shape policy and engage with early childhood advocates to create the most effective early childhood policy for our state,” said Maggie Adair, Executive Director of the CT Early Childhood Alliance.
That early childhood system is outlined in House Bill 6359, which is currently making its way through the legislative process.
“It is an honor to be recognized by this reputable organization as a Children’s Champion,” Rep. Sanchez said. “I am a strong supporter of children’s programs and efforts that help set a strong foundation for our children’s future. I am committed to continuing to do my part to advance all available educational opportunities for children.”
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, along with other lawmakers, was also honored by the alliance including, Sen. Terry Gerratana (D-New Britain).
Rep. Bobby Sanchez is Vice Chair of the legislature’s Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and a member of the Higher Education and Employment Advancement as well as the Education Committees.
