Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you for your continued support. It has been my honor to represent you in the General Assembly for another term. There were many intensely debated issues this legislative session and it has been a privilege to represent the people of Waterbury.

As Waterbury continues to grow, I am proud of the steps taken to help improve our city. The State Bond Commission approved $160,000 for Waterbury’s Walsh Middle School and $200,000 for Crosby High School for alterations, repairs, improvements, technology and equipment to help address building and site deficiencies, and to promote the health, safety and learning. The Commission has also set aside $6.5 million for improvements at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Our city will also receive $1 million for design and engineering studies for the improvement and replacement of the I-84 and Route 8 interchange commonly referred to as the “Mixmaster.”

Besides the above accomplishments, we also lowered car taxes in Waterbury and many other cities and towns. I will be sending out a separate mailer with details on how this affects you soon.

I hope you find this information useful and please do not hesitate to call my office if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
