Rep. Mary Mushinsky testified before the legislature’s Banks Committee to support the recommendations of the Task Force on Reverse Mortgages, HB 5651, which has been raised as a committee bill. In her testimony, she said, “This is my third year trying to pass a bill to protect CT seniors from being harmed by reverse mortgages to avoid the horror stories of other states. State Rep. Mary Mushinsky discusses limits on drone use, a topic that will be addressed during the 2015 Legislative Session. In December, the Program Review and Investigations Committee recommended limiting drone use for law enforcement. The next step is reviewing existing laws to see if amendments are needed as drones become more widely available to average people. “The reason for all of this is because they’re becoming very cheap and anyone can buy them now,” said state Rep. Mary Mushinsky, D-Wallingford. “...Theoretically you can attach things to them, so we’ll also tweak some of the other state statutes.” Click to view the full Record Journal story.
