Rep. Sanchez has been recognized as a 2015 Children's Champion by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance for his advocacy and support to children's issues. NEW BRITAIN RESIDENTS WILL SEE BIG CAR TAX SAVINGS
New Britain residents can expect to save hundreds of dollars in the coming years because of a new state law which will implement a statewide mill rate cap of 32 mills in 2016, and 29.36 mills in 2017. This same law will also ensure that New Britain does not lose any revenue due to the change in the amount of car taxes collected by pledging 0.50% of the annual State sales tax to the towns in our State. REP. BOBY SANCHEZ SUPPORTS LEGISLATION TO INCREASE POLICE TRAINING
Rep. Bobby Sanchez, joined other members of the Black and Puerto Rican caucus at a press conference at the State Capitol, in support of legislation to increase police training and address recruitment issues to ensure the hiring of more officers who live in the communities in which they serve. The legislation also requires the appointment of special prosecutors in cases where there is a death that involves an officer and the use of physical force. The measure will be included as an amendment to Senate Bill 1109, An Act Concerning Excessive Use of Force. $15 million will be included in a future state bonding package to pay for acquisition of body cameras.

BOBBY SANCHEZ NAMED VICE CHAIR OF EDUCATION
Rep. Bobby Sanchez has retained his leadership positions for the 2015 Legislative Session and will serve on a new role on the Education Committee as House vice chair. His commitment to early childhood initiatives and improving access to preschool programs, including school readiness and preschool slots has been unwavering since he first took the oath of office.
