NEW HAVEN POLICE CRACKDOWN ON DIRT BIKES, ATVS
Riding a dirt bike on a public road — including city streets or highways — is illegal. In 2013, a law proposed By Rep. Pat Dillon was passed to allow higher fines for illegal dirt bike riders. Connecticut municipalities can now charge $1,000 for a first offense, $1,500 for a second offense and $2,000 for all offenses after that. Previously, the fee was $250. READ MORE
