WALLINGFORD LAWMAKERS WIN EDUCATION PROJECTS
Wallingford's legislative delegation passed a number of education projects in the recently concluded legislative session, Rep. Mary Mushinsky reported in an emailed letter to Dr. Sal Menzo, Superintendent of Schools and Roxane McKay, Chairwoman of the Board of Education. MUSHINSKY, ALLIES BOOST FUNDING FOR PHOSPHORUS REMOVAL
Rep. Mary Mushinsky announced today that the legislature approved language in Section 64 of Public Act 13-239, the bond package, to increase municipal grants to 50% for the first three municipalities to pursue phosphorus removal. "Towns that must remove phosphorus as a condition of their sewage treatment permit will now be eligible for a larger grant as a result of recent legislative action," Mushinsky said. READ MORE
